There are two types of snatch balance; drop snatch balance and heaving snatch balance. The difference between the two is the leg drive used; a drop snatch balance doesn’t use any and a lifter will descent under the bar at speed into their receive position whereas a heaving snatch balance uses leg drive (dip and drive).
